The Illinois Burn Prevention Association is an organization that assists children who have experienced a significant burn injury that required hospitalization. This organization receives its funding by hosting an annual golf event where different businesses partner with the association as sponsors. Money raised goes toward “Camp I Am Me”, where children can build self-esteem while learning to deal with their injuries. Money raised will also go toward From Tragedy to Triumph Foundation, an organization that “awards scholarships to college students who have gone through Camp I Am Me; OSF St. Anthony Medical Center Burn Unit in Rockford; and Cook County Burn Unit at Stroger Hospital in Chicago.”
